Is the term art mediums or media?

The correct term is art media.

While "media" is often used in the plural form when referring to various types of communication (like social media), it's not the preferred term when discussing art materials.

Art media refers to the specific materials used by artists to create their work. This includes things like:

* Paints: Acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache

* Drawing materials: Charcoal, pencils, pastels

* Sculptural materials: Clay, bronze, wood

* Digital art: Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D modeling software

Media in this context is singular and refers to a single material or technique. For example, you might say "This painting is done in oil media."

So, while "art mediums" is not grammatically incorrect, "art media" is the more common and preferred term.
