When does a dialogue occur?

A dialogue occurs when two or more people (or entities) communicate with each other verbally.

Here are some key points to consider:

* It involves an exchange of words. This can be spoken, written, or even non-verbal communication like gestures or facial expressions.

* It has a purpose. Whether it's to share information, express opinions, solve problems, or simply connect with others, there's a reason behind the conversation.

* It can be formal or informal. Formal dialogue might occur in a business meeting or court, while informal dialogue happens between friends or family.

* It can be internal. Even a single person can have a dialogue with themself, thinking through different arguments or ideas.

Examples of dialogue:

* A conversation between two friends at a coffee shop.

* A debate between politicians on television.

* A play or movie with actors speaking to each other.

* An email exchange between colleagues.

* A letter written to a loved one.

Essentially, any instance where two or more entities communicate back and forth with a clear purpose can be considered dialogue.
