Is saying - taking a meeting grammatically correct?

While it's understandable to say "taking a meeting," it's not grammatically ideal. It's more accurate and formal to say:

* Attending a meeting

* Participating in a meeting

* Having a meeting

Here's why "taking a meeting" might sound awkward:

* "Taking" implies ownership or control, which doesn't quite fit the context of a meeting.

* It's a bit too informal for many professional settings.

"Attending" or "participating" clearly convey your role in the meeting. "Having" works if you're the one organizing or leading the meeting.
