How many consonants are there in the filipino language?

There are 18 consonants in the Filipino language. They are:

* b, k, d, g, h, l, m, n, ng, p, r, s, t, w, y, ch, sh, and ñ.

Note:

* Ng is considered a single consonant, representing a velar nasal sound.

* Ch and sh are considered digraphs, representing single consonant sounds.

* Ñ is a distinct consonant representing a palatal nasal sound.
