What is switzerlands major language?

Switzerland has four official languages:

* German: Spoken by about 63% of the population, mostly in the north and east.

* French: Spoken by about 23% of the population, mostly in the west.

* Italian: Spoken by about 8% of the population, mostly in the south.

* Romansh: Spoken by about 0.5% of the population, mostly in the canton of Graubünden.

Therefore, there is no single "major language" in Switzerland. Each of the four official languages holds a significant position within the country.
