What languages Swiss people speak?

Switzerland is a multilingual country with four official languages:

* German: Spoken by about 63% of the population, primarily in the northern and central regions.

* French: Spoken by about 23% of the population, primarily in the western region.

* Italian: Spoken by about 8% of the population, primarily in the southern region.

* Romansh: Spoken by about 0.5% of the population, primarily in the southeastern canton of Graubünden.

While these are the official languages, many Swiss people are bilingual or even trilingual, especially in areas where different language groups border each other. This makes communication easy within Switzerland, though it can sometimes be challenging for visitors!
