What countries do not use American sign language?

It's important to understand that American Sign Language (ASL) is specific to the United States and parts of Canada.

Therefore, all countries other than the United States and parts of Canada do not use ASL.

However, every country has its own sign language! Here's why:

* Sign languages are developed organically: They evolve within Deaf communities and are influenced by local spoken languages, cultures, and histories.

* Each country has its own unique sign language: Examples include British Sign Language (BSL), French Sign Language (LSF), Japanese Sign Language (JSL), and many more.

So, while ASL is not used globally, there are many other fascinating and diverse sign languages around the world.
