How many countries have Chinese as their official language?

There are only two countries in the world where Chinese is the official language:

1. China (People's Republic of China): Mandarin Chinese is the official language of mainland China.

2. Singapore: While Singapore is a multilingual nation, Mandarin Chinese is one of its four official languages.

While Chinese is spoken in many other countries, it is not the official language in those places.
