Here are the five scripts:
1. Ancient Hebrew (Paleo-Hebrew): Used in ancient Israel before the Babylonian exile (6th century BCE).
2. Square Hebrew (Assyrian Square Script): The most common script used today, developed during the Babylonian exile and standardized in the 1st century CE.
3. Samaritan Hebrew: Used by the Samaritan community, a distinct branch of ancient Israelites who continued to live in Samaria after the Babylonian exile.
4. Rashi Script: A cursive script developed in the 11th century by Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki (Rashi), a renowned medieval commentator.
5. Hebrew Braille: A braille system developed for Hebrew in the early 20th century.
While the five listed above are the most common and historically significant, there are also other less common scripts like the Yemenite Hebrew Script and various Hebrew stenographic scripts.
