How many countries speak Croatian?

Croatian is the official language of one country: Croatia.

While Croatian is also spoken by significant populations in neighboring countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro, it is not their official language. In those countries, the official languages are Bosnian, Serbian, and Montenegrin, respectively.
