* Gondwana was a supercontinent that existed from about 550 million to 180 million years ago. It was made up of what are now South America, Africa, Antarctica, Australia, the Indian subcontinent, and Arabia.
* Laurasia was another supercontinent that existed from about 335 million to 66 million years ago. It was made up of what are now North America, Europe, and Asia.
These two supercontinents formed from the breakup of an even larger supercontinent called Pangea. Gondwana and Laurasia then further broke apart into the continents we know today.
