Is there such a thing as Mexican language?

There is no single "Mexican language".

Here's why:

* Spanish is the official language of Mexico. Almost everyone in Mexico speaks Spanish, and it's the language used in government, education, media, and daily life.

* Indigenous languages are also spoken in Mexico. There are over 60 indigenous languages spoken in Mexico, with Nahuatl, Maya, Zapotec, and Mixtec being the most widely spoken.

* "Mexican Spanish" is a dialect of Spanish. While Spanish is the official language, the way it's spoken in Mexico has its own regional variations and slang, similar to how American English differs from British English.

So, to summarize:

* Mexico does not have a unique "Mexican language" distinct from Spanish.

* Spanish is the official language, with many indigenous languages also spoken.

* "Mexican Spanish" refers to the way Spanish is spoken in Mexico, with its own regional variations.
