How many Dutch speaking countries are there?

There are three Dutch-speaking countries:

1. Netherlands (also known as Holland)

2. Belgium (the Flemish region)

3. Suriname

While Dutch is also spoken in some other countries, it's not an official language there, such as in:

* South Africa (Afrikaans is a derivative of Dutch)

* Indonesia (Dutch was the language of administration during colonial times)

* Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba)

So, if we are talking about countries where Dutch is an official language, the answer is three.
