What countries in Oceania speak French?

There are two countries in Oceania that speak French:

* New Caledonia: French is the official language and spoken by the majority of the population. It is a special collectivity of France, meaning it has a high degree of autonomy but remains a part of France.

* Vanuatu: French is one of the official languages of Vanuatu, alongside English and Bislama. While not the most widely spoken language, it has a significant presence in government and education.

It's important to note that French is not the only language spoken in these countries. New Caledonia has many indigenous languages, and Vanuatu has numerous local languages as well.
