Where in a term is suffix located?

A suffix is located at the end of a word or term.

Think of it like this:

* Root word + Suffix = New word

For example:

* Happy (root word) + ness (suffix) = Happiness

* Care (root word) + ful (suffix) = Careful

* Run (root word) + ing (suffix) = Running

Suffixes change the meaning or grammatical function of the word they are added to.
