* Linguistic evidence: The Anatolian languages, such as Hittite, are considered the earliest attested branches of the Indo-European family.
* Archaeological evidence: The presence of early agricultural settlements in Anatolia aligns with the proposed timeframe.
Challenges and Ongoing Research:
* Limited archaeological evidence: The lack of definitive archaeological evidence for PIE speakers makes it difficult to pinpoint their origin with absolute certainty.
* Diverse linguistic evidence: The vastness of the Indo-European family and the variety of its branches make it challenging to trace back to a single common ancestor.
* Multiple migrations: It is possible that PIE speakers migrated from one region to another, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact origin.
