Where do people speak Geordie?

Geordie is primarily spoken in the North East of England, specifically in the Tyneside area. This includes the cities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead, and surrounding towns and villages.

While it's considered the dialect of Newcastle, it's not restricted to the city limits. You'll find Geordies speaking their unique dialect in:

* North Tyneside: Whitley Bay, North Shields, Tynemouth, etc.

* South Tyneside: South Shields, Jarrow, Hebburn, etc.

* Gateshead: Gateshead, Blaydon, Whickham, etc.

* County Durham: Consett, Stanley, Chester-le-Street, etc.

Beyond these areas, Geordie influence can be found in other parts of the North East, but it becomes less distinct as you move further away from Tyneside.
