Where is Kurdistan and which countries border it?

Kurdistan is a region in Western Asia, not a single, independent country. It spans parts of four different countries:

* Turkey: The largest portion of Kurdistan lies within Turkey.

* Iraq: The second largest portion is in northern Iraq.

* Iran: Kurdistan is also present in western Iran.

* Syria: A small section of Kurdistan is located in northeastern Syria.

It's important to note that Kurdistan is a cultural and ethnic region, not a politically recognized nation-state. There have been efforts by Kurdish people to achieve independence, but they have not yet succeeded.

The Kurdish people have a distinct culture, language, and identity. They are one of the largest ethnic groups in the Middle East without a sovereign state.
