Which continent has the greatest number of Spanish-speaking countries?

The continent with the greatest number of Spanish-speaking countries is South America.

Here's why:

* 12 out of 14 South American countries have Spanish as their official language: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, and the three Guyanas (Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana).

* Only two countries in South America do not have Spanish as an official language: Brazil (Portuguese) and Suriname (Dutch).

* While North America also has several Spanish-speaking countries, such as Mexico, Central America, and parts of the United States, South America has a significantly higher concentration of Spanish-speaking nations.
