What South American country do they speak German?

While there are some German speakers in South America, there is no South American country where German is the official language.

However, there are areas with significant German-speaking populations, particularly:

* Brazil: Southern Brazil, especially the state of Rio Grande do Sul, has a large German-speaking community, descended from 19th-century immigrants.

* Argentina: There are smaller German communities in parts of Argentina, particularly in the Patagonia region.

It's important to note that while German is spoken in these areas, it's not the primary language. Portuguese is the official language in Brazil, and Spanish is the official language in Argentina.
