Where is the language Malayalam spoken?

Malayalam is primarily spoken in the Indian state of Kerala. It's also spoken in some parts of Lakshadweep, a union territory of India, and by small communities in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.

However, Kerala is by far the dominant region where Malayalam is spoken, with nearly all of its population speaking the language.
