What countries do the Kurds live in?

The Kurdish people are an ethnic group that primarily live in a region known as Kurdistan, which spans parts of four countries:

* Turkey: The largest Kurdish population is in Turkey, estimated at around 15-20 million.

* Iran: The second largest Kurdish population is in Iran, estimated at around 8-10 million.

* Iraq: The third largest Kurdish population is in Iraq, estimated at around 5-7 million.

* Syria: The Kurdish population in Syria is estimated at around 2-3 million.

It's important to note that Kurdistan is not a recognized independent state, and Kurds are not considered a majority population in any of the countries they reside in. They have been fighting for their own autonomous region or even independence for many decades.
