What two languages come out of the Celtic language group?

It's not quite as simple as picking two languages. The Celtic languages are divided into two branches:

* Insular Celtic: This branch includes the languages spoken on the islands of Britain and Ireland. These are further subdivided into:

* Goidelic: Irish, Scottish Gaelic, and Manx

* Brittonic: Welsh, Cornish, and Breton

* Continental Celtic: This branch includes the languages that were spoken in mainland Europe, such as Gaulish, Celtiberian, and Lepontic. All of these are extinct.

So, if you were to pick two languages from the Celtic language group, you could pick any two from the following:

* Irish

* Scottish Gaelic

* Manx

* Welsh

* Cornish

* Breton

You could also choose one from each branch, like Irish and Welsh.
