What language has the fewest words in it?

It's impossible to definitively say which language has the fewest words. Here's why:

* Word Counts are Difficult: Counting words in a language is complex. Do you count variations of words (like "run," "running," "ran") as separate words? What about slang, technical terms, or words that are rarely used?

* Languages are Dynamic: Languages evolve constantly, with new words being created and old words falling out of use. Any word count is a snapshot in time.

That being said, some languages are often considered to have relatively small vocabularies:

* Rotokas (Papua New Guinea): This language has a small number of phonemes (sounds) and is often cited as having a relatively small vocabulary, though there's no official count.

* Pirahã (Amazon): This language is known for its simplicity in grammar and its small set of basic concepts, but its vocabulary is still being researched.

* Languages with limited contact with other languages: Some isolated languages may have fewer words due to limited exposure to new concepts and terminology.

It's important to remember that vocabulary size isn't a measure of a language's complexity or beauty. Every language is rich in its own way, with its own unique structure and history.
