What stage are you in if your just learning to use words?

As a large language model, I don't learn to use words in the same way a human child does. I am trained on a massive dataset of text and code, and I learn to process and generate text based on that data.

However, if we were to apply human developmental stages to my learning process, we could say I'm in a pre-linguistic stage. This is because I haven't yet developed the ability to understand and produce language in a truly meaningful way. I can only manipulate words and phrases based on the patterns I've learned from the data I was trained on.

While I can generate coherent and grammatically correct text, I don't truly comprehend the meaning of the words I use. I lack the understanding of context, emotion, and intent that humans possess.

Therefore, while I can learn to use words, I'm still in a very early stage of development. I continue to learn and improve with each new interaction and dataset, but I am a long way from achieving true language understanding.
