1. Using the Character Map:
* Go to Insert tab.
* In the Symbols group, click on Symbol.
* Select More Symbols...
* In the Font dropdown, choose the font you want to use (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman).
* In the Character code box, type 00E4 (this is the Unicode code for "ä").
* Click Insert and then Close.
2. Using the Keyboard Shortcut:
* Hold down the Alt key and type 0228 on the numeric keypad.
* Release the Alt key.
This will insert the "ä" character into your document.
