What GSCEs Do The French Take?

The French do not take GCSEs. GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education) are a system of qualifications taken by students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The equivalent system in France is called the Brevet.

Here's a brief comparison:

* GCSEs (England, Wales, Northern Ireland): Taken at the end of compulsory education (age 16) and are a stepping stone to A-Levels or other further education.

* Brevet (France): Taken at the end of collège (age 15) and is not a requirement for further education. Students can then choose to go to lycée (high school) for the baccalauréat (bac).

It's important to remember that education systems vary from country to country, and each has its own structure and qualifications.
