When is it possible to use the word rung in a sentence?

The word "rung" can be used in a sentence in a few different ways:

1. As a noun referring to a step on a ladder:

* "He climbed the ladder, grabbing each rung carefully."

* "The rungs of the ladder were worn and rusty."

2. As a noun referring to a step in a hierarchy or system:
