How many voices are in English grammar?

There are two voices in English grammar:

* Active Voice: The subject performs the action. Example: "The dog chased the ball."

* Passive Voice: The subject receives the action. Example: "The ball was chased by the dog."

It's important to note that the passive voice is formed using the past participle of the verb and a form of the auxiliary verb "be."
