Is a prefix or suffix grammar punctuation?

Prefixes and suffixes are not punctuation. They are morphemes, which are the smallest units of meaning in a language.

Here's why:

* Punctuation marks are symbols used to clarify meaning and structure in written language. They indicate pauses, intonation, and relationships between words and sentences. Examples include periods, commas, question marks, etc.

* Prefixes are added to the beginning of a word to change its meaning (e.g., "un-" in "unhappy").

* Suffixes are added to the end of a word to change its meaning or grammatical function (e.g., "-ing" in "walking").

So, while punctuation and prefixes/suffixes are both important aspects of language, they serve entirely different purposes.
