What are the four stages of thewriting process?

There isn't a universally agreed upon set of *four* stages in the writing process. The most common model includes five stages:

1. Prewriting/Brainstorming: This is where you gather your ideas, research, and plan the structure of your writing.

2. Drafting: You write your first full draft, focusing on getting your ideas down on paper.

3. Revising: You reread your draft and make changes to improve the content, organization, and clarity of your writing.

4. Editing: You focus on the mechanics of your writing, such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.

5. Publishing/Sharing: This is the final stage where you finalize your work and share it with your audience.

It's important to note that these stages aren't always linear. You might go back and forth between them, or even skip some altogether, depending on your writing style and the project.
