What language did Bodhidhrama speak?

Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism, is believed to have lived in the 5th or 6th century CE. He is thought to have been from Southern India, and would have most likely spoken Prakrit, a group of languages derived from Sanskrit and used in ancient India.

However, it's important to note that we don't have any direct evidence of what language he actually spoke. There's a chance he could have spoken another language prevalent in his region.
