Where is tongan spoken?

Tongan is spoken primarily in Tonga, a Polynesian island nation in the South Pacific.

It is also spoken by significant communities in:

* New Zealand: A large Tongan diaspora exists in New Zealand, particularly in Auckland.

* Australia: Tongan communities are also present in Australia, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

* United States: Smaller communities of Tongan speakers can be found in the US, primarily in Utah, California, and Hawaii.

While Tonga is the only country where Tongan is an official language, it is spoken by a considerable number of people outside of the country, particularly in those three countries mentioned above.
