Did fr plasencia wrote the customs of tagalogs?

While Fr. Juan de Plasencia is indeed known for his significant contribution to our understanding of early Tagalog customs, he did not write the "Customs of the Tagalogs" as a single document.

Here's what we know:

* Fr. Plasencia wrote a "Doctrina Christiana" in 1587, which included a section about Tagalog customs. This section is often cited as "Customs of the Tagalogs."

* "Customs of the Tagalogs" as we know it today is actually a compilation of materials, including Fr. Plasencia's work, but also other sources from that period, like the "Vocabulario de la Lengua Tagala" by Fr. Pedro de San Buenaventura.

* The "Customs of the Tagalogs" as a complete document is often attributed to Father Antonio de Morga, who compiled various accounts and documents, including Plasencia's work, in his book "Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas".

So, while Fr. Plasencia did write about Tagalog customs, the "Customs of the Tagalogs" we see today is actually a collection of various sources, including his work, and edited and compiled by others.
