Where do the Maoris live?

The Māori people are indigenous to New Zealand. They are spread throughout the country, with a significant presence in both the North and South Islands. While they are found in both urban and rural areas, there are certain regions where Māori populations are particularly concentrated.

Here are some examples:

* North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Wanganui, Wellington

* South Island: Canterbury, Otago, Southland

It's important to remember that Māori are not a monolithic group, and their cultural practices and language vary depending on their iwi (tribe) and hapū (subtribe).
