What is the country that created Spanish language?

The Spanish language, as we know it today, did not originate in a single country. It evolved over centuries from the Castilian dialect of Vulgar Latin spoken in the Kingdom of Castile (located in what is now Spain).

Therefore, while Spain is the country where Spanish developed, it's not quite accurate to say Spain "created" the language. It's more accurate to say that Spanish developed in Spain.
