What written language came after cuneiform?

It's tricky to say definitively which language came *after* cuneiform, as different languages and writing systems emerged in different parts of the world and at different times.

However, a few prominent writing systems developed around the same time as, or shortly after, cuneiform:

* Hieroglyphics in Egypt, which developed independently and around the same time as cuneiform.

* Linear B in Mycenaean Greece, which is a syllabic script (meaning it represents syllables, not individual consonants and vowels like cuneiform) and dates back to around 1450 BCE.

It's important to remember that these are just a few examples, and many other writing systems developed across different cultures and time periods.

If you are interested in a particular region or time period, I can give you more specific information!
