What language did the Salado speak?

The Salado people, a prehistoric culture that flourished in the southwestern United States from the 13th to the 15th centuries, did not have a written language.

While we know a lot about their material culture and social structures, there's no record of them having a written language system. Their communication likely relied on spoken languages, likely related to the languages spoken by their ancestors and neighbors.

It's possible they had a complex system of oral traditions and storytelling that served to communicate information, history, and cultural knowledge. However, without written records, the specific languages they spoke remain a mystery.
