Is Italian and French the same?

No, Italian and French are not the same language.

While they share some similarities due to their common Latin roots, they are distinct languages with their own:

* Vocabulary: Many words are different, although some are similar.

* Pronunciation: Sounds and accents differ significantly.

* Grammar: Grammar rules and structures are different.

* Syntax: The order of words in a sentence can be quite different.

Although a speaker of one language might be able to understand some basic phrases in the other, they are not mutually intelligible.
