What languages do Victorians speack?

Victorians, referring to people living during the Victorian era (1837-1901), primarily spoke English.

However, it's important to remember that:

* Regional dialects and accents were strong, and many people spoke with very different pronunciations and vocabulary than the standard English of today.

* Other languages were also spoken, depending on the location and social context. For example:

* Welsh in Wales

* Scottish Gaelic in parts of Scotland

* Irish Gaelic in Ireland

* French in some areas due to historical ties.

* Other languages spoken by immigrants, such as German, Yiddish, and Italian, became more prevalent in urban areas during the later part of the Victorian era.

So, while the primary language was English, the Victorian era was a time of linguistic diversity in Britain, with many regional variations and influences from other languages.
