What languages are spoken by the Ashanti tribe?

The Ashanti people primarily speak Twi, a language belonging to the Kwa branch of the Niger-Congo language family.

While Twi is the dominant language, there are also several dialects within the Ashanti community, such as:

* Akuapem Twi: This is considered the "standard" form of Twi.

* Asante Twi: This dialect is spoken in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

* Fante: While technically a separate language, it's closely related to Twi and is often understood by Ashanti speakers.

Additionally, some Ashanti individuals may speak English, which is the official language of Ghana.
