Which language is recorded as first in the world?

There's no single language that can be definitively declared as the "first" in the world. Here's why:

* Language Origins are Unknown: The origins of human language are deeply rooted in prehistory, far beyond written records. Linguists can trace language families back thousands of years, but the exact starting point is lost to time.

* No "First" Spoken Language: Even if we could pinpoint the time when language first emerged, it would have likely been a single, evolving system that gradually diverged into distinct languages. There wasn't a "first" language in the way we think of languages today.

* Early Writing Systems: The oldest known written systems emerged around 3500 BCE in Mesopotamia (Sumerian cuneiform). However, writing is a representation of language, not the origin of language itself.

Therefore, it's impossible to say definitively which language was the "first." The study of language origins is a complex and ongoing field of research.
