Who write the lupang hinirang?

The "Lupang Hinirang" (Philippine National Anthem) was not written by a single person. It was a collaborative effort, with different individuals contributing to its various components:

* Music: Julian Felipe composed the original music for the anthem, which was originally titled "Marcha Nacional Filipina" (Philippine National March).

* Lyrics: Jose Palma wrote the Spanish lyrics for the anthem, which were titled "Filipinas" (Philippines).

* English translation: Manuel L. Quezon led the effort to translate the Spanish lyrics into English, resulting in the current English lyrics.

It's important to note that Felipe's music was the original component, and Palma's lyrics were written to accompany it. While Quezon's English translation is the most widely known version today, the original Spanish lyrics remain important for understanding the anthem's history and meaning.
