When was the word quiver brought into English language?

The word "quiver" has been around in the English language for a very long time. Its origins go back to the Old English period, which dates back to around the 5th century AD.

The Old English word for quiver was "cwyfer," which is directly related to the modern "quiver." It's believed to be derived from the Proto-Germanic word "kwibō," which referred to a container for arrows.

So, while we can't pinpoint the exact year "quiver" entered English, it has been part of the language for at least 15 centuries.
