What is the English vinayam?

The word "vinayam" is a Sanskrit word, not an English word. It is often translated as humility, modesty, or respectfulness. It encompasses a wide range of virtues including:

* Respect for others: Recognizing the worth of others and treating them with consideration.

* Politeness: Showing good manners and being courteous in interactions.

* Submissiveness: Accepting authority and being willing to follow rules and guidelines.

* Self-awareness: Understanding one's limitations and acknowledging one's mistakes.

* Non-arrogance: Avoiding excessive pride or self-importance.

So, while "vinayam" doesn't have a direct English equivalent, it is a concept that can be understood through these English terms.
