How do you say am in sign language?

You can't sign "am" directly in American Sign Language (ASL).

Instead, you need to sign the verb that "am" is part of. For example:

* "I am happy" would be signed as "HAPPY" with the sign for "I" (pointing to yourself) before it.

* "I am tired" would be signed as "TIRED" with the sign for "I" (pointing to yourself) before it.

Here are some examples:

* I am hungry: "HUNGRY" (with the "I" sign)

* I am a student: "STUDENT" (with the "I" sign)

* I am from Canada: "CANADA" (with the "I" sign)

Remember, ASL is a visual language, so you use signs and facial expressions to convey meaning, not individual words like "am."
