Who first translate Rig Veda in English?

The first complete translation of the Rig Veda into English was by Ralph T. H. Griffith, an English Orientalist and Sanskrit scholar. He published his translation in 1896.

However, it's worth noting that earlier translations of individual hymns and sections of the Rig Veda existed before Griffith's complete work. For instance, Friedrich Max Müller translated several hymns in the 19th century.

So, while Griffith's work was the first complete English translation, other scholars had already translated parts of the Rig Veda before him.
