What are the suffixes for invent?

There are a few suffixes that can be added to "invent" to create new words, each with its own meaning:

-or: This suffix creates a noun referring to a person who invents. For example, "inventor."

-ion: This suffix creates a noun referring to the act of inventing or the state of being invented. For example, "invention."

-able: This suffix creates an adjective meaning "capable of being invented." While not common, it's technically possible to say "inventable" to describe something that could potentially be invented.

-ive: This suffix creates an adjective meaning "relating to invention" or "having the quality of inventing." For example, "inventive" describes someone who is good at creating new things.

-er: This suffix is less common, but can also be used to create a noun referring to a person who invents. For example, "invent-er."

It's important to note that not all of these suffixes are used as frequently, and some may sound awkward or unfamiliar in certain contexts. The most common suffixes for "invent" are -or and -ion.
