What are some single word oxymorons?

It's tricky to have a single-word oxymoron because an oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines two contradictory terms.

However, you can create a sense of oxymoronic contradiction with a single word by playing with its multiple meanings or connotations. For example:

* "bitter" can refer to a taste, but also to a feeling of sadness or resentment.

* "bright" can describe light, but also intelligence, which can sometimes feel dark or confusing.

* "clear" can describe something easy to see or understand, but also a feeling of intense emotion that can obscure the mind.

These words, while not technically oxymorons, use their multiple meanings to create a similar effect of contradiction and surprise.
