Is the correct term reminisce upon or about?

The correct term is reminisce about.

Here's why:

* Reminisce means to think about pleasant past experiences.

* About indicates the topic of the reminiscing.

Examples:

* We reminisced about our childhood vacations.

* She reminisced about her first love.

While you might hear people say "reminisce upon," it's not grammatically correct. "Upon" usually refers to something that is on top of or physically placed on something else.
